General
1. Why should I hire Capital News Works?
Cost savings: We give you the benefits of a full-time staff videographer & online-video specialist at a fraction of the cost.
Ultra-fast turnaround: Plan on seeing your video online within a few hours if you hire us. The alternative? Bulky production companies who may take a couple weeks to mail the video.
We’re professional: Don’t ask your staff to point a camera-phone at the podium. If quality and reliability are important to you, hire someone with over 10 years of online-video experience (like us).
Money-back guarantee: We want you to be thrilled with what you pay for. So if for any reason you’re not happy with our work, simply request a refund- no questions asked.
Short-notice is OK: Having some lead-time is great, but we understand how schedules can change unexpectedly. We work every day in the capital, so we may be able to help even if it's last-minute.
2. How quickly will my video be online?
We aim to have your Video-Page online within hours after your event concludes. However, the turnaround time can be affected by the length of the press conference itself (longer events take a longer time to process) as well as travel time to the event location.
We also encourage clients to send us the final news-release before the event. A simple Word .doc is all that's required. This will ensure the text is immediately available when the video is posted. Contact information can be found here.
3. What do you need from me for the project?
Once you've scheduled a filming, here's what we need from you to ensure a smooth and successful project:
-
The news-release for the event. A Word .doc is perfect.
-
Include the state legislature? Decide if you want the announcement email to go to state House, Senate, or both.
-
Your organization's logo. This way we can "brand" your video-page.
4. Surely the local TV stations will show up. Why do we need you?
Well, that's just it — despite an organization's best efforts to get the word out about a press event, there really is no guarantee the media will actually cover your event.
With Capital News Works, you are covered. View our available packages.
Email distribution
1. What is the email distribution?
When your Video-Page is online (usually a few hours after the event concludes), we send out an "announcement" email up to the state legislature. This list contains the email address of each and every member of the PA House and Senate.
This email includes your news-release text, contact information about your organization, and a screenshot & link to the video-page itself.
After the distribution, we will send you complete stats on who opened the email, and who clicked through to the video.

2. What does the email look like?
The HTML email, branded with your organization's logo and contact information, is cleanly laid-out and "easy on the eyes". View a sample
3. How quickly will the email go out?
Once your video is online, the announcement email is sent immediately to the legislature. After one week, we still send you stats on who opened the email, and who clicked through to the video.
4. Will I get statistics on who opened the email?
Yes. In addition to email-open trends, you can see who is actually clicking through to your video-page.
5. Can I send out a second email-blast?
Sure. After the initial email distribution (which is included in the package), we can send out the email again to as many lists as you have on hand. Contact us for pricing.
6. What percentage of my list will successfully receive my email?
While we can guarantee each address on your list (and on our PA legislative email list) will be sent an email, it isn't possible to ensure 100% will receive your campaign in their inbox. Unfortunately not all ISPs and corporate mail administrators send non-delivery bounce notices and some subscribers may have set up their own spam filters, which can prevent your email from reaching their inbox.
7. Do you film in HD (High-Definition)?
Yes! We film your event and interviews in 1080p HD. The footage looks fantastic!
Statistics & Reports
1. What statistics will I receive?
Your analytics report will include the following:
Statistics on the distribution email: Who opened the email, who is clicking through to the video.
Statistics on the video-page: Who is watching your video? How many visitors? What part of the state/country/world?
Statistics on social media trends: How many times was your Video Page liked and shared on Facebook? Is it trending on Twitter?
We will send the first set of statistics one the day after distribution for your analysis. After that, we will send updated statistics each month as long as your video remains online.
2. How often are reports generated?
The first set of statistics (email and video-page opens/views) will be sent to you one week after the distribution. The Premium Package includes follow-up stats one month after the event.
3. Can I get stats on Facebook and Twitter sharing?
Yes! In the reports, we will provide the number of times your Video Page has been "liked" and/or "shared" on Facebook. In addition, we can see how often the page has been mentioned on Twitter.

http://PennsylvaniaBio.pressconferencevideo.com

Yes, Capital News Works retains the rights to all video we film. The exception being the Premium Package, in which case we will transfer copyright of the raw footage to your organization.
2. Is CNW liable for downtime and other technical difficulties?
